Elderberries and amazing! And that is why we grow them here at the Delizioso Gardens.

That above is a photograph of our very own elderberry bush....So today, we want to tell you why elderberries are so amazing and why they are in our products...

Elderberries have a ton of benefits and they are not only good for your skin. They are also great for your insides. In fact in 1995, Elderberry Juice was used to treat the flu pandemic! Significant. Mainly, Elderberries are super rich in anthocyanins making them very high in antioxidant content. Antioxidants help fight the free radical damage that we face on a daily basis. Elderberries in history have been used for the following:

1. They help lower cholesterol.

2. They improve vision.

3. They boost the immune system.

4. They improve heart health.

5. They help with flu and related illnesses.

The main active Bioflavanoids help to fight coughs, flus and colds. So if you do get struck by the fl or the cold, don't forget to sip some hot elderberry tea or juice.

Vitamin-wise Elderberries are rich in Vitamins A, C and B. But despite all these wondrous benefits keep  in mind that certain parts of the Elderberry plant can be poisonous. Most uncooked berries and other parts of the plant may be poisonous and are not edible.

Due to their amazing antioxidant content, Elderberries are skincare heaven. Infused with intense anti aging and free-radical fighting properties, the elderberries keep your skin radiant and healthy for long. It is the perfect skin tonic particularly for dehydrated mature skin. Elderberry also helps keeping away distressing skin conditions like breakouts, boils and scars at bay.
